     Royal Gorge Park west of Canon City off highway 50 - You may camp up to 72 hours at a time.  The area has fire rings, nice tent site areas, picnic tables and nice outdoor toilets.  Camp sites are patrolled and are not far from Buckskin Joes and The Royal Gorge Bridge, also it is not far from some of the river raft

• BUFFALO HERD/2 MILES FROM GARD

    Took a road trip today on Gardner Road at San Isabel National Forest.  Nice trip but the sky had a haze of smoke due to the fire in California.  Came across buffalo that were pretty far away but took the shot anyway.  Also Big Horn Sheep and some black squirrels that were hard to get a shot of.  They are fast.  Came across beaver ponds, and very tall skinny Aspen trees.  Some are changing colors now.  All in all it was a nice trip and hope to go in the fall.   Carol
